"To catalyze an effective change in individuals by inspiring a new dimension of excellence in music"
“I first met Al Phillips in the late 80's when I was the studio manager at Hollywood Sound Recorders. Al was hired as our in-house engineer. Not only does he have GREAT ears, but he is one of the nicest people I've ever met.
Almost daily he was thrown into sessions where the customer knew nothing about recording OR what he/she wanted. Al was there, with a smile on his face, ready to work and never had a harsh word to say about any of it - even if it was wrong. He worked very long hours and was happy to do it.
It takes a special kind of person to do what he does and, after all these years, I still consider him to be one of the BEST engineers I've ever worked with. You won't find many people in this business that are as genuine AND talented as he is.”
